You may have recently found out that Memorial Day is not a great time to be found in a grocery store, see other times to avoid grocery shopping....Thanks to the SuperMarket Guru for the list below:

The 10 Worst Shopping Days

Sometimes even the best supermarket can be a nightmare. Supermarket managers across the country developed this list of the worst days to go grocery shopping. Here are the days when your store may not be as well-stocked and well-staffed as it should be:

#1 Labor Day weekend

#2 Sundays

#3 Saturdays

#4 Memorial Day weekend

#5 Afternoons between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

#6 Thanksgiving Eve

#7 The day after a major disaster Such as an earthquake, tornado, hurricane or snowstorm.

#8 Christmas Eve

#9 Fourth of July Especially if it falls on a weekend.

#10 The day after Thanksgiving

Yummy Cocoa Brownies

1 cup flour

3/4 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 cup cocoa

1 tsp soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup sugar

2/3 cup canola oil

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla

1/3 cup chocolate chips

1/4 cup bran

walnuts (optional)

Bake at 350 degrees. Grease brownie pan (13 x 9). Bake 12-15 minutes.
