Take some time and think about what some of your favorite food memories are at those Memorial Day picnics over the years? And how can you make a healthy food memory at a picnic this year with your family?
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup white flour
1/4 cup wheat flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
chocolate chips and nuts optional
Spread in 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-20 minutes.
